There were SO many places we wanted to go that weren't feasible with picky eater 12 &13 year olds but we definitely will go back to concur those. Like I said earlier, few places have kids menus so actually real food needs to be ordered. Here is a list of great places and links to their sites
The flying fishbone: My absolute favorite. Eat with your feet in the water and have artfully prepared seafood and cocktails. escargot were divine, and the curry caribbean seafood stew incredible.
The Old Cunucu house: want to try Real aruban dishes? This place has oxtail, iguana, goat, and all the fun polenta based fried treats. The service the night we went was off admittedly, but the waiter was really open about that. Either way we got good food and lots of it.
sole mare: italian food on rt. 3 right outside the hotel zone. This place is not cheap so don't go expecting a bargain. But again, escargot amazing, cacio e pepe with local sausage, rollatinis with fresh dutch cheese, just awesome.
WAcky Wahoo: get there early and have a snack next door at pika while you wait. everyone knows this is the place for the catch of the day and a ton of it. we had fresh wahoo and barracuda with crab cakes and shrimp. The kids ordered some insanely expensive steak but actually did eat it. Cocktails were also perfect here.
arashi beach shack: get the ceviche, get the margarita, stare at the water
nos clubhuis: This is the place to have your fish prepared after your deep sea day. for $15 a person you get prepared fish, rice, fries, salad or veggies. The rum old fashioned is amazing and, if you care to watch football, they carry the games.
