We arrived a bit too early for checkin, so why not have a day at my favorite place in Mexico.
Marbella beach club is a dream come true. I go every time, and not once have I not been immensely impressed with everything.
It's probably not a great idea on my part to introduce people to it first, because almost anything else will be hard to compete...but these ladies needed to have the best seafood and cocktails and lay on beach beds and people watch.
Marbella has a beach club and a restaurant, but you can eat there and use the swings, beach beds, etc. The golf cart police will ask you which you're doing though. The restaurant is always the right answer.
Mezcalinas to vino tinto mojitos and everything in between, the bartenders are masters of cocktails. The menu is simple, and it literally was all just caught. You can see the fisherman bring it in, no joke.
For a big group, we ordered smart somehow. 2 different styles ceviche, arroz caribena, and their signature dish, spicy fish, which is the best presentation and Thai style fish you might ever have. Be careful. After lunch we claimed 2 beach beds a few feet from the water. We ordered more cocktails based on the waiters thoughts as well. I really can't imagine a better way to start the island life than 4 hours at Marbella.
I swear I'm not exaggerating. I am not a big fan girl who insists on going somewhere unless it is perfect. Just go.
Casa Zama: magical place. On the Caribbean side near the south point of the island, this is the start of a row of incredible properties. The blue decor and art is such a nice touch, the pool area is a dream. There is a walking path along the ocean wall that is a gorgeous morning walk. The owner is super responsive and also has a home supervisor who is incredibly helpful. Thanks Stacey! Thanks Robert!
We ate so much at lunch we were debating if we ever needed food again, and we ended up doing late night munchies from porfinio from the evening before at about 10pm. We swam, got our life plans started and our how to be happy plans started. We drank a bunch of aperol spritz and wine.

One of the best (hiccup) trips (hiccup) i’ve been a part of (hiccup)… sorry still recovering from the dozen or so wine bottles we drank hahaaaa!! Thanks for letting me be a part of such an amazing week!
